The Crimson Oak Enhanced MBA Admissions Workshops (E+MBA) is an intensive study and admissions counseling program that prepares young professionals to enter America’s most elite Graduate Schools of Business. The program consists of a five-day workshop typically in the Fall and one-on-one admissions counseling offered throughout the multi-month period. Our Suite of Support Services, Ad_Council and eDIT, are always available.
The E+MBA Workshop is core to this program. We select international, inspiring locations and restrict class sizes to cultivate deeper bonds between your peers and counselors in your cohort. The Workshops
The five-day E+MBA Workshop is an integrated, comprehensive program that is comprised of:
Two-day customized GMAT test preparation, with small group tutoring; Two-day simulated MBA classroom experience; and, One-day admissions counseling session with former MBA admissions officers.
Improve Your GMAT Score
The customized GMAT test preparation targets areas of improvement from your prior GMAT score. While we do not require that our Scholars take the GMAT examination before participating in the E+MBA Workshop, we highly recommend it. With an initial score, we can hone in on the areas where you need the most improvement and maximize the impact of our GMAT Test Prep workshops. The first day of the GMAT Test Prep focuses on math, while the second day focuses on the verbal portion of the GMAT exam. During the test prep, you will join sub-groups of 7-15 other Scholars for a series of small group tutoring sessions that target your particular area of improvement. Your area of improvement will be assessed from the Registration Questionnaire, which asks for detailed results of your previous GMAT score that Crimson Oak Academy recommends that you have at the time of workshop enrollment.
Crimson Oak Academy recognizes that the success of your GMAT tutoring can vary widely depending on the experience and commitment of the instructor. Crimson Oak Academy scours the entire MBA instructor talent pool, including existing competitor programs, and recruits only the most talented instructors. Furthermore, we ensure that everyone’s interests are aligned by directly linking instructor performance bonuses to your GMAT performance. Each year, they are evaluated by you and us and only the best ones are retained to teach another season of classes. We license or purchase the best existing GMAT test prep publications and create our own material where appropriate.

No need to schedule, cajole, and then hope that you will be allowed to sit quietly in the back of a classroom as a passive witness. Don’t imagine…be a fully engaged Ivy League MBA student in our simulated classes for two days.
The 3rd and 4th days of the Crimson Oak Academy E+MBA Workshop familiarize you with the grueling expectations of the Socratic case-based and Lecture learning methodologies that leading universities such as Harvard, Wharton, and Columbia employ. We recognize that choosing between a case-based institution versus a lecture-based institution can be a vexing decision. To address this problem that many future MBA students face, we have structured simulated MBA classes utilizing actual school cases that are instructed by trained alumni or associate professors. This is a very distinctive section of our E+MBA Workshop Program.
The Socratic case-based learning method is a non-traditional teaching technique that requires intense participation and debate. Conversely, the traditional Lecture-based learning method puts the instructor at the center, responsible for driving the discussion and the students largely listen and receive vital information. Preparation in both methods will help you develop the confidence and critical thinking these elite institutions require. Furthermore, the class instructors and your colleagues will challenge and encourage you to strengthen and sharpen your skill performance. The series of simulated MBA classes are instructed by Ivy League MBA alumni or MBA associate professors and are vital to understanding which methodology works best for you. Engage in Admissions Counseling Sessions
On the 5th day of our E+MBA Workshop Program, get all those questions ready for your Admissions Counseling Session. Based on your Registration Questionnaire we will parse the cohort into smaller groups and pair your group with a former adviser from one of the top 10 MBA programs.
Crimson Oak Academy’s success is inextricably linked to your success. The E+MBA Workshop Program will also host a variety of networking opportunities, including a closing dinner. This advice allows you to become aware of possible career and MBA opportunities and pitfalls that are difficult to recover from. More importantly, it maximizes the impact that you will have as an MBA student at a top-tier university, and then as a leader in your industry. Charges for these additional services depend on the service, the package and level of involvement of our counselors.
