ITHACA, NY – April 15, 2010 – Increasingly
skill with the scalpel is being coupled with skill in spreadsheets: the intersection of business and medicine is
growing. The inefficient U.S. Health Care system is at
an inflection point and its success rests primarily in the hands of the
nation’s doctors. Against this backdrop,
Crimson Oak Academy has established the Crimson
Oak Academy Pre-Med Scholarship at Cornell University.
The Scholarship will provide resources for a
talented Cornell junior who is dedicated to becoming a doctor.
The $5,000 scholarship is
comprised of cash award and in kind services/products. Key eligibility criteria are that the student
must be “in need” and academically strong.
International students are also eligible. With financing options for students continuing
to shrivel, the Scholarship is timely. Furthermore,
the student recipient will be at a critical juncture at her early medical
career where high-quality advice will have an outsized impact on his potential.
