NEW YORK, NY – April 12, 2011 – “I refuse to let these [inner city high school] kids’ opportunity be defined by their zip code!” defiantly declared former New York City Education Chancellor Joel Klein. Chancellor Klein was speaking as the honoree of the Rewarding Achievement (REACH) annual Breaking Barriers Gala held at the Harvard Club of New York. The statement captured the tenor of the night: one of celebration and determination. Against this backdrop Crimson Oak, along with e-Cornell, quietly announced their decision to donate $15,000 of in-kind services to REACH.
The contributed services consist of Crimson Oak career &
admissions counseling packages and e-Cornell certificate programs.
Crimson Oak’s career counseling sessions are structured in defined
modules by Ivy League alumni, trained and certified in executive
coaching. Similarly, the Academy’s MBA admissions services are
personalized and delivered by experienced counselors who have a long track record
of being effective. Award-winning online learning platform, e-Cornell,
generously donated its coveted Financial Management and Health Care
Executive Management certificate programs. It is envisioned that the
offerings will be monetized through a reputable non-profit auction house
service such as Charitybuzz.org.
Notably the three recipients of this year’s REACH
College Alumni Award attend Cornell University. The three talented
scholars are:

Andre Perez, Sophomore - The Dyson School of Business, Applied Economics Major- Cornell University
Nicolas Savvides, Sophomore - College of Architecture, Art and Planning, Architecture Major - Cornell University
